Is Poker a Game of Skill?
This is one of the questions that are asked the most in the poker sector and it does seem to get ignored by a lot of people. A vast amount of people cannot answer this question because of the fact that there is not a definitive answer. Lets take a quick look at why you need to have luck to progress in a game of poker, basically its not up to you which cards you get dealt so its down to fate, if you get dealt a good hand then you are more likely to win.
Skill
Technique also plays a huge part in the game of poker itself, because you have to be able to judge a table and ultimatley know when you have been given a bad hand. You also need to know know the exact time to call a bluff.
In my opinion I feel that the game is actually about both elements. But over time I feel skill creeps in alot more. As an example if you was a beginner and you played against someone of professional status then I can confidently say that by chance you may win one or two games at most.
